3.3How do I get started with my first project?
1. Install and create an account
Download Make Plan from the App Store, then create your account — with Apple, Google, or an email address validated by code.
2. Choose your starting point
The home page offers three quick-access buttons. Which one is right depends on what you have on site:

| Draw | You are surveying by hand or working from memory | Creates a project and opens the drawing interface |
| Import | You already have a PDF plan | Opens PDF import so you can draw over it |
3. Structure the project
A project holds one or more buildings, each split into floors. The floor is what carries the plan: see managing projects and managing floors.
4. A successful first survey
For a first scan, pick a simple, well-lit room with no large glazing or mirrors. Scan one room at a time: that is the rule that avoids the most errors. See difficult conditions.
Before handing anything to a client, upload your logo in the settings: it will appear on all your exports.
