The technical terms you will come across in Make Plan and in this documentation.
BDNB — French national building database. Source of the energy performance sheet generated by the app in France.
BIM — Building Information Modeling. A way of working built on a digital model shared between everyone involved in a project.
DVF — French public database of actual property transactions, published by the tax administration. It feeds the land value reference.
DXF — Vector drawing exchange format, read by CAD software.
EPC — Energy Performance Certificate. Rates the energy efficiency of a dwelling from A to G.
IFC — Industry Foundation Classes. Open exchange format for BIM models.
LiDAR — Laser ranging sensor found on certain Apple devices. It is what makes scanning possible. See compatible devices.
Lux — Unit of illuminance. Below 50 lux, turn on the flash while scanning.
Measurement sheet — Table of dimensions and quantities extracted from the plan. See reading the measurement sheet.
Moodboard — Style board defining a decoration direction, applied during a restyling.
Opaque area — Wall area with openings deducted. This is the figure used for painting and insulation quotes.
Styled plan — Plan laid out with its title block, ready to hand to a client.
