9.2What building data can I extract from my plans?

A Make Plan drawing is not just a drawing: it is a set of quantitative data, computed from the survey and reusable across every document you produce.

Data extracted from the survey

These values are read in the Details sheet, and element by element in the properties.

Data attached to the building

The project's location gives access, in France, to two public data layers:

• the BDNB record — energy class, consumption, emissions, construction year, heating and hot water systems. See energy performance;
• the land value reference — actual transactions in the area. See land values.

Where they are used

Plan quantities feed directly into work costing and the measurement sheet. Correcting a dimension on the plan therefore corrects every document derived from it — the main advantage of a digital survey over a notebook.
