6.12How do I overlay a PDF on an existing plan?

Overlaying an architect's drawing on your survey lets you compare existing and proposed layouts, or align your scan with a reference document.

1. Open the existing plan.
2. Tap Import and select your PDF file.
3. Set the PDF scale so it matches your plan's.
4. Tap Move background, then drag the document to line it up.
5. Use the rotation tool to adjust its orientation.
6. Once the alignment looks right, switch off the move and rotate buttons, then tap Save.

The PDF background panel lets you delete the document or resize its scale at any time.
