5.7What is the difference between "Scan" and "Draw" modes?
Both modes produce the same thing — a dimensioned 2D plan and its 3D model. They differ in where you start.

Scanning
The LiDAR sensor measures distances to surfaces and rebuilds walls and openings in real time. It is the fastest and most faithful mode — provided you are in the building with a compatible device.
Drawing
The drawing tools let you trace a plan from laser measurements, a sketch or an imported PDF. It is also the correction mode: a scanned plan is edited with the same tools.
Which to choose
The two combine. The most common approach is to scan on site then pick it up in drawing mode back at the office: add a planned partition, fix a wrongly oriented opening, furnish it for a client presentation.
